McCain edges out in Debate with Obama

Analysits today are saying the debates were pretty much dead even, but McCain came out on top for his comfort advantage. The major topics, the economic crisis in the Iraqi war, were both highly contested throughout the 90 minute verbal clash. On the economy, McCain stated that the crisis is nearly over. "This is not the beginning of the end, this is the end of the beginning of the economic crisis," McCain put it. Obama replied that government still believes that what is "Goofd for Wall St. is good for Main St." He criticized McCain's earmark plans, a spending plan of 300 million dollars. In the meantime, McCain kept telling the voters that Obama has the "most liberal" voting record in the Senate.

Apart from the economy, the war was also brought up. Obama stated that the Bush admin. did not use the "military wisely in Iraq." While, on the flip side, McCain shocked Obama by saying that there needs to be freeze spending on everything but Veterns Affairs and Defense.

McCain tell's Obama, "Bring it On"

It seems today that McCain is skipping the economic bailout summit wrap ups in DC today to travel to Ole Miss for tonight's debacle. McCain told Obama today to "Bring It On" in reference to tonight's debate at the college. The topic at hand: Foreign Policy. That topic, McCain is excellent in. We'll have complete coverage of the debates later tonight!

Political Chaos Erupts in Washington

On the heels of the economic crisis, Sen. John McCain suspended all actions of his campagin today citing a return to Washington to aid in the bailout plan for the American economy. In this landmark decision, a politician hasn't put a campaign on hold since the Reagan administration. There is much concern still, today, that the economic shortfall will lead to an overhaul of the economy. Pres. Bush said in this address to the Nation Wednesday night that the entire "country may feel the effects" of this disaster looming. He also hinted of a "long and painful recession." Bush and select task force members will meet today to discuss wheter or not a bailout is the right answer. Congressional leaders made note Wednesday they could not "trust" the federal reserve by handing them a free 700 billion dollars worth of tax payer money. Even though Bernake believes that is the best way to go, Congress has their doubts.

On the political front, the debate scheduled for tomorrow night may be cancelled after all. McCain is opting out of the disscussion, which will focus on foreign policy (something he is great at), and leaving a 90 table open for Obama. Obama says he thinks America should "move on." Strong words from a young Senator who has just regained a 3 point gallup poll lead vs. McCain.

Mix Up in Dem Camp

I got this in an email this morning:

There is some talk about a mix up in the veep seat in the Obama campaign. Reports have surfaced that Biden will resign as veep nominee on October 5, three days after the first debate between himself and Palin. Why? Well, rumor has it that Hillary, yes that pant suited woman thing, will take his spot to win back Obama's female vote. Biden is said to have went along with the idea and will be placed in the high cabinet in Obama is elected. He will cite an aneurysm as a "health problem." This has been reported on numerous blogs and websites.

So, Politrikle fans, whatcha think?
Is it real or fluff? We'll find out October 5 and we'll keep you posted in the meantime.

The Strategy Room with the punditry

On the day that a dorm room was raided because the student hacked into Sarah Palin's email, FoxNews unveiled the Strategy Room. Like their rivals CNN, Fox decided they needed a live streaming version of the infamous Situation Room (CNN) with Wolf Blitzer. I decided to check it out, being a big Fox News fan and all. I went for it.

While it takes less time to load then a Fox News video segment, the Strategy room has its blunders. While it's "new" and "live," it's also boring. Now that fox is going to take over your lap/desk top, you can't get away from the winged media. They even use the same font as the Situation Room.

The one on one "radio" show is no comparison to the brilliance of Shep and the B block. I wonder how long the Strategy Room will rule the Internet streaming waves. If it doesn't, will Fox News have a strategy to overcome the fault?

CNN doesn’t use sources?

IN a recent report, CNN thought that the picture below was a valid one. Take a look at the Fox news Report. http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/09/10/cnn-reports-palin-bikini-photo-but-fails-to-tell-viewers-its-a-fake/

Yes, a hottie, but not our vp pick.

McCain and The Bi-Cabinet

John McCain announced Sunday morning that if elected, he promises to appoint cabinet members from both parties, Dems and Republicans. McCain believes that America's distrust in government does not come down to party lines, more like the people in charge. By people, I refer to Congress. The executive branch doesn't have a heck of  a lot of power. Think about it. Congress listens to America complain about something and they'll debate it for a year or so and then say they will do something about it. Do they? Not usually. It is highly unusual for a Republican to do what McCain is doing, but it has been seen before. Remember Reagan?

In the Reagan years, he himself said that government is corrupt. Which he was right about. The God of the Republican party didn't trifle when it came to partisan politics. He was a straight shooter and spoke his mind. If McCain could demonstrate Reaganistic values, his votes would flourish. But what it will come down to is experience. McCain wins by far with the experience, but few Americans realize what Obama has not accomplished. Yes, Chicago is nice, but we don't all live there. I live in a small town. Is that a crime? Shouldn't my president care about me?

The GOP Next Door

Aww, the beauty and energy of Sarah Palin. The liberal left media was all too shocked to realize that even a "second rate" governor from the Alaskan front could make a speech. Sure, Obama has been on the campaign for...well, forever, and he can make a pretty good speech. However, little credit has been given to Palin, who, despite what people expected, came out as a relatively good orator. Her enthusiasm was anything but flat. She criticized Obama by his dismissal of small towns. His past fundraising for bigger "big" cities was also hastened. Palin seemed to make a "cultural challenge" to Obama, according to Chris Matthews of MSNBC. Palin has the back of many women, even though her stand on abortion is pro life. Obama, however is pro choice. The challenge will be to see if Obama can appeal to little towns as he can with penthouse views.
One thing we will not hear about is Palin's daughter's pregnancy. Obama and company have pledged to withstand from cutting her or her family down by this truth. It would be both tasteless and disrespectful to the entire Palin clan. He will in turn focus on Mrs. Palin's lack of experience. Yet, she has had far more executive experience...what Obama is running towards...than the man himself.
